    Healing Water

Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, the Dudjom Lineage holder, opened a miraculous spring in Eastern Bhutan renowned for it's healing powers. This water is added to the mother pills.

    Sonam Lang Khor

An image of the "lucky elephant" mandala drawn by Dudjom Rinpoche and inscribed with mantras serves as the heart of each treasure vase to attract blessings and abundance. It is bound in five-color thread and adorned with the image of the wealth deity Khandro Norlha.

    Mantra Rolls

Many rows of carefully printed Sanskrit mantras are written in Tibetan to connect to the deity and increase merit, wealth, and abundance.
Each mantra roll is prepared traditionally, soaked in saffron water infused with blessed substances, and wrapped.

    Mother Essence & Pills

The main substances in mother pills is called yang-dzay rilbu. Padmasambava originally hid these substances to later be uncovered by treasure revealers, or tertons. Dudjom Rinpoche collected the substances from the ten-gam (treasure collections) of Mipham Rinpoche, Mindroling Terchen, and Khyentse Rinpoche, and many other sublime beings.
From these substances Dudjom Rinpoche made the original "mother pill" that began our essence at Treasure of Abundance.
Mother Pills are formed with our Mother Essence, clay, and liquid substances. The essence fulfills the instructions of Guru Rinpoche to make a Treasure Vase. They are hand rolled while mantras are recited by practitioners, after which they are dried and painted with gold paint.

    FILLING A VASE

Each vase is ceremonially prepared, filled and consecrated at the Pema Osel Ling Retreat center according to the Dudjom Tradition.
To begin, each empty vase goes through a ceremonial purification. While reciting mantras, Mother Pills are added by hand to fill the majority of the vessel. Then, the Sonam Lang Khor is placed in the center, facing outward in the direction that will become the "front" of the vase.

Behind this image, a silk-wrapped bundle of specific stones and substances to represent each class of being is placed.
Once these additions create the heart of the vase are secured, the remainder is filled in with Mother Pills and packed down to ensure minimal movement. The top norbu of the vase is then sealed to the bottom bumpa and the vase is ready for consecration.

    consecration

The consecration of Treasure of Abundance vases follows the lineage and instructions passed down from Dudjom Rinpoche to Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, Tulku Jamyang Rinpoche, and Lama Sonam Rinpoche.
This is an unbroken lineage to Padmasambhava himself through Dudjom Lingpa.

Each batch of vases requires a Lake Born Vajra puja to be done, with the specific ceremony of Orgyen Khandro Norlha, as well as additional prosperity and longevity prayers. Our current vases are blessed by
Tulku Jamyang Rinpoche and Lama Sonam Rinpoche.

These proceedings take place at Pema Osel Ling in the shrine room in front of the Guru Rinpoche statue and the Stupas of Dudjom Rinpoche and Thinley Norbu Rinpoche. This site is extremely auspicious, and the blessings of such ceremonies are magnified by the qualified teachers and the sacred location.
